Met Ray Hur yesterday, a Korean man in his 40s who said he works for an electric battery company in South Korea that had him working on a project in Germany last year.

He also said he spent 5 years earning a PhD in chemistry from Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York. And that, when he started his PhD program, he spoke very little English yet had an American girlfriend.

During our conversation yesterday, Ray’s English was excellent. Which is a rarity in South Korea.

Ray booked an impromptu trip to the Korean island I arrived in just a few days ago. And stayed in my same hotel… where a Chinese woman works and oversees the hotel’s advanced bookings.

What a coinkidink!

When asked, Ray was complimentary of the affordable quality of China’s electric vehicle industry.

I replied that I would never purchase a Chinese vehicle in my lifetime due to lack of Trust in their quality control and honest business practices.

Not to mention the countless children who are kidnapped in China annually and trafficked through Finland to nefarious actors worldwide.
