Grilled Peaches a la Mode Recipe

It's no secret that I L-O-V-E BBQ.


One of my favorite things to eat fresh off the grill is a seared and succulent peach oozing with sweet, summery flavor; and crowned with a come hither scoop of vanilla ice cream.


If your mouth is watering while reading this, then you must add this dessert to your list of Yum! recipes to savor every time farm fresh peaches are in season.





Ingredients


  • 6 fresh peaches, ripe and firm

  • 1 stick unsalted butter

  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • Vanilla ice cream

  • Honey


Instructions


1. Heat your grill to a medium-high temperature. Make sure the grill rack is clean and spotless.


2. Cut the peaches in half. Remove the pits.


3. Slowly melt the stick of butter over low heat.


4. Mix the cinnamon and brown sugar into the butter.


5. Pour the cinnamon sugar butter a glass mixing bowl. Add each of peach halves to the bowl and coat them in butter.


6. Place the peaches skin side down on the grill. Close the lid for 3–5 minutes.


7. Flip the peaches flesh side down. Grill them until they have a light char.


8. Place the grilled peaches on a plate or platter to cook slightly.


9. Serve the peaches with a generous scoop of ice cream. Drizzle it with honey. Then sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon and brown sugar on top.


10. Enjoy. Yum!
